Treat yourself to a special culinary getaway in the beautiful surrounds of Umbria.
A Romantic Italian Villa on the Tenuta Di Fassia Estate, near Gubbio in the heart of the Umbrian countryside. We have carefully tailored a holiday programme so that you can get the most out of your holiday.
Combining relaxation in the grounds of the villa, alongside excursion, cookery lessons and instructional activities such as wine tasing, olive oil tasting and truffle hunting.
Enjoy the historical garden, beautiful walks through woodlands and lush countryside with private lakes for swimming, take a guided food walk, of wild herb picking or truffle hunting on the grounds and learn about the agriculture from the villas own organic farm of vegetable and grain production.
We include visits to local producers, tasting the wine and olive oil of the region and learning how these traditional practices are being continued.
You will have cooking workshops throughout the week with Helen, to hone your skills, as well as being cooked for by the Melusine team.
Learn a wide range of authentic Italian regional recipes, especially discovering the tricks to making perfect pasta and sauces to accompany and recipe a recipe pack of all the dishes you make and eat during the week.
Included will be a visit to the local market, and one of the nearby Medieval towns, Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia are all an option.

Morning or Afternoon activities:
Morning visit to Gubbio and market – shop for veg, short historic visit, have a coffee
Walking Food tour of the estate – agriculture talk, picking/tasting
Truffle hunting and wild herb picking
Nature walk on the grounds with visit to the lake for swimming
Trip to Assisi for historic walking tour with wine and olive oil tasting
Cooking master-classes at the Villa with Helen

Please note that the schedule may change due to the time of year and weather conditions. We will eat from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, enjoyed with local wines.
Included in price:
Accommodation, private use of the grounds including pool, lakes and woods, all food and drink, including alcohol, all excursions including food and wine tastings, cookery classes with recipes and apron.
Not Included in price:
Travel and Transfers to the Villa is not included in the price and all participants must arrange their own travel. Transfers from nearby train stations to the Villa can be arranged with us for a small fee.
